A TV License...

In the UK you have to have a TV license. I knew that when I got here, but thought it was a joke. But to my surprise a surprise inspection from the local government TV license people. It cost 126 pounds, which is 230 US dollars. Now can you believe in this day and age this so called free world of England charges you for something that comes through the air freely and able to be received freely you have to pay for it. I thought licenses were for things that needs to be restricted like driving, having a gun, and marriage. But over here is this once, and I mean once great nation of great Britain you have to pay for something like TV reception. It's not like you have to have special training to operate a TV, or special training to watch TV, but in this country you have to pay.
The only thing I really like here is that when you get license plates for a car you never have to take them off again. You can have a car here with the license plates on it, the front white, the rear yellow. Why, I don't know, I just say crazy English people. But if you cancel your insurance on your car you don have to return the plates, you keep them for the life of the car. Which is good because there is no real need for anyone to go to the DMV, they call it the DVLA here. Everything about a car can be done by mail. Which I really appreciate, after those long hours waiting on line (they call it a queue) in the DMV, which I hated! But I'm getting use to this whole England thing, little by little.
I still can't understand a damn word most of them say. Now can you believe it, the originators of the English language and their the ones that can't even speak it properly. This fact, and yes it's an absolute fact blows my mind. I try and talk to people and I understand them less than I do Africans. Can you believe it I can understand Africans that learn English later in life and not from birth better than these English people, crazy huh!
Well since no one plays basketball I've took up going to the gym. Been going to this place called Fitness First, been going there for about 2 months and I have seen a big difference in my sexy body. Lost a pants size I think, but have not lost weight, I think. The only kind of weight I can get is in stones. Instead of using pounds to weight people they use stones. Never heard of this measurement, but I am 13 stones. Well I'm getting tired and these English terminologies and giving me crazy right now. Bye

P.S. For those of you clocking my Brooke pic, trust me I have plenty more. She just damn sexy, sometimes make me wanna say SUBLIMNILLLLLLLLLLLLL!

Yes girl, it is a big shock. It really took me 2 months, the usual time for me to get use to something. But I think it humbles you. And thats one of the reason I came here.
