Can I get a HI 5!!!!

I don't know if have heard of this web site, but I have been reconnecting with family and friends all over the world. I've known about this site for a long time and I'm sure you have also, but trust me it's a very good and free site. Over the past few weeks, I have been in steady contact with my family in Jamaica and the ones on the UK, since they seem not to answer the emails I send directly to them. They seem to enjoy responding to the HI 5 emails, don't know why but they do. So people can I get a HI 5!! Thanks!

I've gotten a week off from work over here. I'm trying to find places to go so I won't have to stay home. I'm still thinking on a few places even though the vacation starts tomorrow. Well I am in England so my plan is to see some famous English sites. Won't tell you which ones until after I have gone, sorry. That is about the only thing I like about Europe right now, they give you vacation even when I've only been working four months for them, crazy huh? The last job I had it took me a year to get two weeks off. Over here the standard is four weeks off a year, and that's even if you just started working. I was told by my boss that I might get another week off before Christmas, how nice is that? But if I was getting paid a little bit more I would be much happier, but I refuse to stay home on these days off. I worked for years without taking leave and I will never do that again. So I make sure I go somewhere every year, even if I can barely afford it. The few things in life that you can never get back, and that's opportunity and time, so I try and use them as much as possible. You can always get money, if your smart.
So my European adventure will start in the good ole UK, and hopefully end up in Italy some time next year. Will be taking plenty of photos, no digital cam so the photos will probably take awhile to be posted. Peace!!

............. I never leave home without it!

No it’s not American Express man! I probably can’t even qualify to get one. Anyway I’m talking about a bicycle! Yes a bicycle, this is one of the things I can’t live without. The freedom, versatility, and cheapness of it, I love.

When I was living in Philly, the first thing I got, well I stole it, was a bicycle. I seen this nice blue bicycle, and knew it was easy access, so I took it. I know it was wrong, very wrong, but I had to do what I had to do. Then let’s forward a few years ahead and when I was making some decent money I brought, not steal a very nice bicycle. I brought it while going through a break up with a girlfriend. I usually go on spending sprees when that happens, so I try and make breaking up not happen too many times or I would just end up broke. That bicycle I got is top of the line, because I know I will have it for years to come. I even get it professionally tuned every year.

Then lets forward to the present, I buy, not steal a shity bicycle. Over here in the UK there are two things that do not come standard on bicycles that I have become accustomed to. The first thing which I don’t know what these English people are thinking. When I noticed this thing I just had to scream out, “What the Fuck!!” This thing I talk about is a fucking kick stand, sorry for my cursing, but damn a fucking kick stand, why not!?!?! The other thing that is not standard are thumb shifters, I guess they think these bar shifters are better, but their not. Wanna know how I know, because all, I mean every single higher priced bicycle has thumb shifters. Why? Because there better!! Why would more expensive bicycles have inferior technology than the cheaper ones, but they don’t they have better ones. So I had to look high and low to find a cheap bicycle with a thumb shifter, but still yet not kick stand.

Since I got use to riding a very good bicycle, every time I ride the bicycle I have now, I just want to be home again. Home with my nice blue bicycle, did I mention the bicycle I was forced to buy is pink/purple. I hate it man. It’s heavy, clunky, rides like shit, can’t wait to get home. Have fun riding people!

Living with WASPs

I had a nice story in my head about living with WASPs, but for the life of me I can’t remember a damn thing. WASPs are not those pesky bee like dangerous insect, it is White Anglo Saxon Person. Since I’m in the land of the Anglos I’m totally surrounded by them. Well like I said the story I had has left the building of my mind, for now. Peace!
