............. I never leave home without it!

No it’s not American Express man! I probably can’t even qualify to get one. Anyway I’m talking about a bicycle! Yes a bicycle, this is one of the things I can’t live without. The freedom, versatility, and cheapness of it, I love.

When I was living in Philly, the first thing I got, well I stole it, was a bicycle. I seen this nice blue bicycle, and knew it was easy access, so I took it. I know it was wrong, very wrong, but I had to do what I had to do. Then let’s forward a few years ahead and when I was making some decent money I brought, not steal a very nice bicycle. I brought it while going through a break up with a girlfriend. I usually go on spending sprees when that happens, so I try and make breaking up not happen too many times or I would just end up broke. That bicycle I got is top of the line, because I know I will have it for years to come. I even get it professionally tuned every year.

Then lets forward to the present, I buy, not steal a shity bicycle. Over here in the UK there are two things that do not come standard on bicycles that I have become accustomed to. The first thing which I don’t know what these English people are thinking. When I noticed this thing I just had to scream out, “What the Fuck!!” This thing I talk about is a fucking kick stand, sorry for my cursing, but damn a fucking kick stand, why not!?!?! The other thing that is not standard are thumb shifters, I guess they think these bar shifters are better, but their not. Wanna know how I know, because all, I mean every single higher priced bicycle has thumb shifters. Why? Because there better!! Why would more expensive bicycles have inferior technology than the cheaper ones, but they don’t they have better ones. So I had to look high and low to find a cheap bicycle with a thumb shifter, but still yet not kick stand.

Since I got use to riding a very good bicycle, every time I ride the bicycle I have now, I just want to be home again. Home with my nice blue bicycle, did I mention the bicycle I was forced to buy is pink/purple. I hate it man. It’s heavy, clunky, rides like shit, can’t wait to get home. Have fun riding people!
