The day I became Superman....

Well I didn't gain the ability to leap building in a single bound, nor was I faster than a speeding bullet. The only thing I gained was the ability to remove my glasses and no one recognized me. Well not everyone just one person, my homeroom teacher. Back in I think 1993 when I was in 9th or 10th grade, my home room teacher did not recognize me without my glasses. I've been wearing glasses since 4th or 5th grade, I think because my father wore glasses and he told me about a story about how he think he got them, I tried to do the same. He told me he tried looking into the sun and that destroyed his vision. I tried it one afternoon after he told me, and to add to that I started saying I can't see too well in class.

So one day I ended up in the eye doctors office getting my vision checked and what do you know, I got glasses. I was happy for awhile, but being an active child like I was, I ended up breaking every pair of glasses I ever owned, even up to this very day. I really hate my glasses, well not the glasses itself, the fact that I have to wear them every moment of everyday. I've been seriously thinking about the laser surgery, but want to wait until it's very cheap to do.

Well back to me being Superman/Clarke Kent. I broke my glasses as usual, but this time it was beyond repair. No tape in the middle like a typical nerd, no kind of glue could help it. So I ventured to school as usual. Went to home room as usual. But when I got there I was denied entry because my home room teacher did not recognize me. Now how can a guy that sees you twice a day for the whole school year, not recognize you just because you don't have your glasses on. That day was the funniest day of my life. The only time I felt like Superman.
